Alexes Haggins is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, and advocate whose life is a testament to resilience, faith, and the transformative power of healing.
Her journey has not been without hardship. As a teenage mother raising a child with special needs, Alexes faced challenges that would shape her understanding of perseverance, responsibility, and unconditional love. Over the years, she navigated seasons of homelessness, depression, divorce, financial uncertainty, and profound grief, including the tragic loss of her children's father to violence.
Determined not to allow her circumstances to define her future, Alexes embarked on a personal healing journey rooted in faith, forgiveness, and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Through that process, she discovered the freedom that comes from confronting pain, breaking unhealthy patterns, and embracing God's purpose for her life.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Alexes dedicated herself to serving others as a community service worker, helping women overcome barriers such as homelessness, instability, and crisis. Later, she became a licensed real estate professional, using her success to pursue a dream she had carried for years.
That dream became Flowers by Alexes.
Inspired by the legacy of her father, Bernard Haggins, who owned a beloved neighborhood florist in Washington, D.C., Alexes fulfilled a promise she made after his passing - to one day reopen a flower shop in his honor. In 2021, she opened Flowers by Alexes on the same street where her father's business once stood, continuing a family tradition while building a legacy of her own.

Today, Alexes uses her voice to inspire women to believe that healing is possible, purpose is real, and no setback is greater than God's ability to restore. Whether through her writing, speaking, business leadership, or community work, she remains committed to helping others discover hope, healing, and the courage to begin again.
And somewhere along her restoration road, a natural talent for business innovation emerged, and Alexes began to pick up awards.
